Welcome to Street Heart, a non-profit organization based in Greenville, South Carolina. Founded during the pandemic by a passionate group of volunteers, Street Heart began with a simple mission: to provide essential food and supplies to those in need. Partnering with local non-profits, we quickly realized that the work we were doing was just the beginning of a larger mission to support marginalized communities in our area, including individuals and low-income families. Our team discovered a significant gap between the unhoused, low-income families, and access to critical resources. From this, Street Heart was born. We are committed to breaking down barriers to care and providing a wide range of services to those who need it most. Whether it’s something as small as clean socks or as vital as delivering a car seat to the hospital for a new-born’s homecoming, our goal is to make life just a little easier for those facing hardship. Our efforts are diverse and include things like helping families enrol children in school, providing rides to vaccine appointments, assisting with food stamp applications, helping individuals fill out job applications, and much more. We understand that every need is different, and we aim to offer practical solutions to create access, equity, and dignity for all.
